Launching this blog

I created this blog to share my thinking about issues that have come before the Ashland City Council – specifically issues that have generated strong differences of opinions within our community. I want the people of Ashland to understand the rationale behind the votes I take on these issues, so I will post from time to time. If I find the need to edit an original post, I will clearly indicate what is changed so that residents can see both the original and any edits.

This forum also gives me an opportunity to address misinformation that can take on an electronic life of its own in our modern, hyper connected world.

I want to hear from Ashland residents who have ideas, suggestions, or concerns.
