I request that you consider making a motion to appoint Adam Hanks the City Manager on Thursday. I believe given that city manager hiring is on the agenda you can legally do this.
There’s too much hostility brewing, too much negativity and this city needs to get things done to manage our various challenges.
We need to put this behind us and heal.

My understanding of the Charter is as mayor you have the role to appoint and then the council would take up the recommendation to confirm.

Based on that I do not feel it would be right for me to make the motion.
